In MAP Scores, points will be awarded according to the percentage of the total students taking each required End of Course (EOC) test that score Proficient or Advanced. The four required EOC tests are Civics, Algebra I, English II, and Biology.
Here is an example of the calculation.......
Let's say a school had 4 students score Advanced on the Civics test and 6 students score Proficient. The students scoring Advanced or Proficient is a total of 10. The school had a total of 20 students that took the test. Therefore, the percentage would be 10/20 = 50%.
Using the scale below, the school would score 4 points for 50% Proficient or Advanced on the Civics EOC test. Each school will score points in four categories (English II, Civics, Algebra I, and Biology).
MAP SCORES (points awarded in each EOC category: English II, Algebra I, Civics, and Biology)
%Prof & Adv 90% 80% 70% 60% 50% 40%
12 10 8 6 4 2
